EFI is looking for a QA Engineer to join our Fiery Business Unit in our Fremont, CA office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understanding of project requirements and assist in creating test plans reflecting real world use cases and utilizing automation and regression testing.
  • Help the QA lead with assessing project quality risks and determine effective mitigation plans.
  • Influence and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Apply defined software quality best practices and procedures to design, influence, and drive quality.
  • Communicate and coordinate testing with remote and local teams.
  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases and associated test plans for assigned projects.
  • Analysis of process-relevant documents including product reference manuals, user guides, and engineering resources provided to customers.
  • Generate test execution reports to review with the product team.
  • Focus on inspection process development and product software improvements to benefit end-users.
  • Participate in bug review processes including identifying, documenting and following through on the defect lifecycle.
  • Maintain and deploy product software builds and hardware configurations in the test environment.
  • Design or specify test methods for software inspection, verification and validation.
  • Participate in standardization/harmonization activities at project level with engineering and technical support teams.
  • Specifies proper use of inspection and testing equipment/applications required.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technologies or other related disciplines.
  • Prepress experience is a Plus
  • 1-2 year experience in software testing or equivalent school projects
  • Comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite and Enfocus Pitstop
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and can do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work when necessary.
  • Ability to travel when required.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a virtual and fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic team.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Technologies or other related disciplines.
